Tom Baranski Woodworks is the dream-come-true of a Polish boy raised in Ottawa, refined in Toronto, and now rooted in Nova Scotia. In 2024, Tom followed his wife home to Nova Scotia in search of his dream shop and a simpler life. Everything he makes is an ode to Canada, a country he is grateful to call home and have seen so much of; to nature, whose beauty is revealed in the grain of the wood; and to his wife, Kelsie, without whom none of this would be possible.                                                                               
Heavily influenced by early post-modern and mid-century modern design, Tom designs and crafts each piece single-handedly in his small shop in Nova Scotia, producing long-lasting, functional items for your home and kitchen with locally sourced hardwoods in small batches. His designs channel over 20 years of professional experience in scenic construction, conceptualizing and building sets, props, and various objects for theatre, film, TV, trade shows, art exhibits, and product displays, along with his passion for fine woodworking. His ever-evolving style blends warmth and comfort with modern aesthetics, and his quality of craftsmanship brings long-lasting elegance to every part of your home.
