Tom Baranski Woodworks is the dream-come-true of a Polish boy raised in Ottawa, refined in Toronto, and now rooted in Nova Scotia. In 2024, Tom followed his wife home to Nova Scotia in search of his dream shop and a simpler life. Everything he makes is an ode to Canada, a country he is grateful to call home and have seen so much of; to nature, whose beauty is revealed in the grain of the wood; and to his wife, Kelsie, without whom none of this would be possible.
Tom designs and crafts each piece single-handedly, producing items in small batches and on commission from his small shop in Elmsdale, Nova Scotia. His designs channel over 20 years of professional experience in scenic shops, conceptualizing and building sets, props, and various objects for theatre, film, TV, trade shows, art exhibits, and product displays, along with his passion for fine woodworking.
